PGO Members,
Happy Friday!  I wanted to head into the weekend by providing an update on PGO end of year financials.  If you want more information on these reports, I will be reviewing these at the PGO Annual Membership meeting planned for June 27 at 6:00pm over Zoom.

2020-21 (This Year):  MEET EXPENSES, ACTUALS
The PGO Treasury team had a tougher job than normal this year budgeting for our meet season.  Our competition schedule kept changing!  Meets were added, meets were cancelled, meets were brought in house.  Please offer sincere appreciation to our Treasury team, Monica Okrah and Andrei Titioura, who worked overtime to keep track of it all.  Refer to the attached meet expense report which gives a summary expense for each level by meet, and then a detailed expense report for each meet.

2020-21 (This Year):  FUNDRAISER DISTRIBUTION SURPLUS
This season, the PGO spent less of our allocated fundraiser budget than planned.  The Board refers to this amount as our end-of-year fundraiser surplus ($4,842).  Following the priority list in the PGO bylaws, the Board has agreed to allocate this surplus to our NC State Championship Meet competitors as a partial reimbursement for their state registration fee.  The refund will be provided as a PGO credit to every athlete that qualified to the NC State Championship Meet and paid a NC State Meet registration fee (approximately $50 each, scratched athletes that received a registration refund are excluded from this credit).  This is your fundraiser dollars $$$ at work!!  Please refer to the attached fundraiser report for details.

2021-22 (Next Year):  FUNDRAISER DISTRIBUTION PLAN
The PGO has collected over $25,000+ through fundraising to allocate for charitable benefit next season.  The Board anticipates that national meet expenses will normalize this coming season and will more closely resemble 2019 figures, therefore, we are not reducing budget allocations for our national meets based on this year’s figures.  The PGO will continue to offer graduating seniors the opportunity to choose, design, and purchase their own unique Southeastern warm up jacket, with reimbursement up to $125 each.  Please refer to the attached fundraiser report for details.

Gymnast accounts for the season will be fully reconciled and refund checks distributed (where requested) by June 30, 2021.  If you have specific questions about your individual gymnast account, email pgotreasurer@gmail.com.

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at pgopresident@gmail.com.
